THE SPACE - Serendipity Labs : 

Serendipity Labs is a flexible, upscale coworking, office and meeting/event space. We have two locations in Columbus; Downtown and the Short North. Our Downtown location is in the Fifth Third Building, next to the Ohio Theater overlooking the Capital. Our Short North space occupies the third and fourth floor of the UDF building and has a rooftop patio overlooking High Street. The culture within Serendipity Labs is what really sets us apart. We hold monthly events and engage with different organizations throughout the city. Our offices vary from single person to team room and our mission is to make it a turn key experience. THE SPEAKERS - Betsy Pandora & Jennifer Fening :

Betsy A. Pandora is the Executive Director of the Short North Alliance. Betsy oversees a $1.7 million dollar operating budget, a team of 12, all district operations, safety initiatives, parking and mobility programs, artistic and community event management, public art program planning and management, strategic marketing, fundraising, and board relations for both the Short North Alliance and Short North Special Improvement District, two neighborhood serving organizations in Columbus, Ohio. Under Betsy’s leadership, the Short North Arts District has seen over $40 million dollars in public infrastructure investments, attracted over $500 million dollars in private development investment, and has earned numerous national accolades as a top destination. Betsy presently serves on the boards of the Short North Foundation, the YMCA of Central Ohio Northside Branch, and the Friends of WOSU. She is also a 2018 Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 Honoree. Betsy lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Ryan and their wiener dog Otis Redding.

Jennifer Fening is the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications for the Smart Columbus initiative. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for communicating the Smart Columbus vision and project progress on behalf of Columbus’ private and public sectors. Jennifer joined the Columbus Partnership in July 2017 with more than a decade of experience directing brand and marketing strategy on behalf of private, public and non-profit sector organizations. Previously, she directed branding and marketing for Worthington Industries’ Consumer Products business unit. Her work transforming the company’s Bernzomatic brand was recognized with multiple national marketing awards, including Best of Show in the 2017 SABRE Awards. Jennifer also directed government, B2B and non-profit client engagements as an Associate Vice President at Fahlgren Mortine, Columbus’ largest integrated marketing firm.
